The X-Arcade gaming experience

X-Arcade in its simplest form is a premium arcade panel with joystick, buttons and optional trackball. It comes in single and 2 player combinations.

With names like Solo, Dual and Tankstick they claim to be indestructible and bring the ultimate gaming experience.

Out of the box it connects via USB to your PC.

By using additional adapters you can use your X-Arcade with;

  • Gamecube
  • Nintendo Wii
  • Playstation 1
  • Playstation 2
  • Playstation 3
  • Playstation 4
  • Sega Dreamcast
  • XBox 360
  • XBox One

The Tankstick 2 player trackball version as depicted below has a considerably bigger footprint than the X-Arcade Dual.

Not fussed about player 2? then the X-Arcade Solo is a nice tough single player controller.

Lets keep in mind that the X-Arcade is a premium controller - not a games machine. Taking a peak inside the box, if you wanted to add anything additional like a Raspberry PI, from a space and cooling perspective, it would need to be external.

That said the X-Arcade's output has a USB adapter so you can connect to a Raspberry PI. You will need to however research, source and spend the time to get up to speed on how to set and configure your PI, selected emulator be it Recalbox, RetroPie or Lakka and source the requited versions of Games you wish to install and play.

Once the hard work is done we recommend a non widescreen display so that you can get as close as possible to the 4:3 aspect ratio - this will help you avoid configuring it per game and avoid/minimise picture distortion and stretching.

Happy gaming.
