Quick Guide: Change language on your Android Anbernic console

We test and ship all consoles set up in English, However, if you ever have your Android Anbernic console show up in Chinese or any foreign language, no worries! Let’s get your Anbernic speaking your language in just a few simple steps.

Basic Language Change

1. Start at your main screen and find the blue Android settings gear icon
2. Scroll down to System (look for the “I” icon)
3. Find “Language and Input” (with the world icon)
4. Tap “Languages” (second option)
5. Hit the plus icon and pick your language
6. Press and hold your chosen language, then drag it to the top spot
7. Tap the three dots → Remove
8. Check the box by the unwanted language
9. Hit the bin icon and confirm
10. Use the back arrow/B button to return home

You might notice game names and RetroArch haven’t caught up with your language change. For a complete refresh:

Full System Reset

1. Swipe down to open the main menu
2. Turn off the game launcher
3. Swipe up to hide menu
4. Open Android settings
5. Find “Reset Options”
6. Choose “Erase all data – factory reset”

After rebooting, everything should be displayed in your preferred language!
