James Bond Movies and Games released

Games based on Movies have been hit-and-miss and Bond is no exception, here are some of the more popular ones. The top 4 are standouts while the Daniel Craig Activision Era has mixed reviews…

For the Bond fans, below the games you’ll find some more nostalgia with all Bond Movies, Promo artwork, actor, and year of release.

Pierce Brosnan appeared in 4 Bond films between 1995-2002. The Brosnan years appear to have some of the best games including GoldenEye. Released in 1994 and based on the Movie, it evolved from a Virtua Cop style to a first-person shooter with up to 4 players. Released exclusively on the N64, it’s one of the platform’s best sellers with popularity still strong today.

The massive success of Golden Eye made it hard for others to follow that is until Nightfire. Not bound to a film plot, with an original story and moments this game strived for a well-balanced Bond feel with great gameplay between shooting and driving. The cinematics, cut scenes, gadgets, and bond theme add to the overall experience.

Released in 2002 on GameCube, PS2, Xbox, and Windows and GBA 2003 and Mac 2004.

Released in 2004, Everything or Nothing is a continuation of his last film Die Another Day. Including the characters Q and M and the return of an old favourite Jaws! Released on GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox

Based on the 1963 film with Sean Connery, the game includes fresh audio from Connery himself. You’ll encounter additional Characters including the JetPack and DB5 from later bond films. Released on GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox in 2005 and PSP in 2006. The villainous organisation was renamed Octopus instead of Spectre due to legal rights at the time.

Activision acquired the rights to Bond Games in 2006, making this the last 007 game released by Electronic Arts.

You play through scenes from Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace. PS2 is 3rd person shooter while the Xbox 360 is 1st person shooter that includes the use of grenades. There are no driving sequences but a lot of chase scenes. Gadgets have been replaced with the ability to hack devices including cameras. While the game can feel like Call of Duty on the Xbox 360, this version has been claimed to be more engaging and popular with fans but doesn’t offer the wow factor of previous Bond titles.

Released on PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Windows, Nintendo DS, and Wii in late 2008.

Released at the same time as the GoldenEye remake in 2010. Blood Stone is a 3rd person shooter similar to previous releases where you navigate through scenes taking out enemies. The driving scenes remain a ton of fun with great scenes, and nostalgia but no gadgets. Reviews are varied but overall a decent 007 title for Bond fans.

Released on PS3, Xbox 360, Windows, and Nintendo DS late 2010 by Activision.
