Real Light Gun Play.
On Your Modern TV.
The Sinden Light Gun Recoil Edition brings true arcade light gun gameplay to LCD, LED and OLED screens — no CRT and no sensor bar. Every trigger pull kicks back like the arcade, your aim stays accurate wherever you stand, and you can switch the crosshair off for the authentic experience.
A Thin White Border.
Pixel-Perfect Aim.
Unlike classic light guns that only work on CRT TVs, the Sinden uses border-tracking technology. Its software adds a thin white border around the game, and the gun’s optical sensor uses it to calculate exactly where you’re pointing.
The border’s thickness can usually be adjusted to suit your room’s lighting and the emulator you use. Because aim always comes from the border, you can move, change seats or swap screens without recalibrating.
Reload by pointing off-screen, just like the arcade. The Sinden can also read your angle and distance from the screen, ready for future gaming ideas.

Works With Anything
That Takes a Mouse.
The Sinden controls your mouse cursor, so it works with nearly any Windows or Linux app that uses a mouse — from MAME and RetroArch through to standalone PC arcade games.
Settings and tweaks vary by emulator. If you want a more pick-up-and-play setup, there are Batocera builds that make the Sinden plug and play.

How Far Back?
Go Big With Confidence.
For the best accuracy, stand at least 1.5 times the width of the game picture back from the screen. Most classic light gun games are 4:3, so on a widescreen TV the game picture is narrower than the TV and you can stand closer. Closer still works, but aim gets less reliable the nearer you get. There’s no practical maximum, so big TVs and projectors are fine.

Frequently Asked Questions.
Does the Sinden Light Gun work on OLED TVs?
Yes. The Sinden works on LCD, LED and OLED screens because it tracks a thin white border displayed around the game. No CRT or sensor bar is needed.
Why does the Sinden need a white border?
The gun’s camera finds the border to work out exactly where you’re aiming, more than 50 times a second. You can usually adjust the border’s thickness to suit your room’s lighting and the emulator you use. Because the aim comes from the border, you never need to recalibrate when you move.
How far from the screen do I need to stand?
At least 1.5 times the width of the game picture. For classic 4:3 games that’s about 1.3 m on a 50″ TV, 1.7 m on a 65″ TV, 1.9 m on a 75″ TV and 2.5 m on a 100″ projector screen. Widescreen games need a little more room. You can play closer, but accuracy drops the nearer you get.
Sinden or an IR light gun: which should I get?
Choose the Sinden if you want no sensors and no recalibration, and don’t mind a white border. Choose an IR gun if you’d rather have no border and are happy to mount sensors and recalibrate when your screen or shooting position changes.
What can I use the Sinden Light Gun with?
Any Windows or Linux system that accepts mouse input, including MAME, RetroArch, PCSX2, Dolphin and Batocera builds.
Does it have recoil?
Yes. This is the Recoil Edition, so every shot kicks back. You can set single shot or machine-gun fire per trigger pull, and reload by pointing off-screen or with the pump-action reload base.
When will my colour be back in stock?
Colours shown as backorder are already on their way to us. Depending on our shipping cycle and Sinden’s backlog, they can take around 4 weeks to arrive.
Not in stock and need a light gun now?
Consider our RS3 Reaper light guns.
